COVID-19 testing for parent carers
Unpaid carers such as parent carers with disabled children have now been added to the list of essential workers and those prioritised for COVID-19 testing in England.
On Friday 1st May, Contact launched a survey through the Disabled Children’s Partnership (DCP) to help them gain more insight and evidence on the impact of lockdown on families with disabled children. The findings will be shared with government to influence their actions on the pandemic and beyond.
From Monday, HMRC are beginning to contact those self-employed people who may be eligible for government support through the Self-employment Income Support Scheme.
