DESCRIPTION:Join Bristol Parent Carers and Ali Pennington as we explore Makaton\n\n\nWelcome to An introduction to Makaton \nJoin Bristol Parent Carers and Ali Pennington on Tuesday 3rd March at 7pm \nIn this session we will learn the basics of Makaton\, a unique language program that uses signs and symbols to support communication. \nThis session will not be recorded. \nIn this session\, we will cover: \n\nCore vocabulary and a range of additional vocabulary for supporting children and young people with their communication\nHow Makaton can be used to support communication\, practical ways of incorporating the use of Makaton and next steps.\nYou will receive a booklet of all the signs and symbols covered during the session for use during the training.\n\nPlaces are free\, but if you’re able to make a small donation to help us continue offering free sessions to as many families as possible\, we’d be incredibly grateful. \n*Please note\, to attend this session for free\, you must live in Bristol (your bin will be collected by Bristol City Council)\, or your child must attend a school in the Bristol city area. You must also have a child with Special Educational Needs\, but they do not need to have a diagnosis.
