DESCRIPTION:Join Bristol Parent Carers and Wecil as we explore Personal Budgets/Direct Payments to help you manage your own support funding effectively\n\n\nWelcome to Direct Payments and Personal Budgets Explained – Managing your own support funding effectively. \nJoin Bristol Parent Carers and WECIL at St Anne’s House on Wednesday 3rd June at 10AM for our in person session on Direct Payments and Persoanl Budgets. \nOur in person sessions are a great way to connect with other parent carers in a relaxed and welcoming space. We’ll have tea\, coffee\, biscuits and fruit available — so come along\, have a cuppa\, and take some time for you while getting helpful information and support. \nIn this session we will explore Direct Payments and Personal Budgets. Whether you’re new to managing support funding or want to feel more confident with the process\, this session will help you understand your options and feel more in control. \nIn this session we will cover: \n\nWhat Direct Payments and Personal Budgets are\, and how they work\nMyth-busting\nHow Direct Payments are a great option for some (not all)\nThe pros and cons of managing your own funding\nPractical tips to help you use funding in a way that works for your family\nWhat support is out there to take the strain away from parent carers\n\nPlaces are free\, but if you’re able to make a small donation to help us continue offering free sessions to as many families as possible\, we’d be incredibly grateful. \n*Please note\, to attend this session for free\, you must live in Bristol (your bin will be collected by Bristol City Council)\, or your child must attend a school in the Bristol city area. You must also have a child with Special Educational Needs\, but they do not need to have a diagnosis.
