Reaching marginalised families access services they deserve!

Do you have a child with autism; are you from a Somali background, do you work with a family?

Come to our information day and meet other parents and service providers, remember you are not alone!

Thursday 04 June 2015

10.30 - 13pm

At Phoenix Social Enterprise, Russell Town Avenue Industrial Centre, Avon, Bristol BS5 9LT

Autism Independence supports families with disable (autism) children/young people from ethnic minorities including the Somali community to access services available. Communication is real barrier for these families.

Autism Independence promotes overcoming taboo and stigma of disabilities. We value the importance of creating an environment where parents network, socialise and support each other along with bringing together different communities and services.

We work with NHS, National Autistic Society and Bristol City Council.

Our aim is to integrate and empower disadvantage families.

You can get involve by coming to our monthly drop in sessions, and can contact us with your concerns.

Speakers include:

National Autistic Society, Early Bird Team, Social Service, Acta, Kids,
Special Friends, Bristol University and Contact A Family.

Snacks and finger food will be provided!
