Local authorities in England have a legal responsibility to help families with disabled children… but what can they help with?

Carers Week is 7th-13th June. This year, Carers Support Centre is encouraging all carers to consider having a Carers Assessment. All carers are entitled to a Carers Assessment on an annual basis.

NHS England and NHS Improvement have worked closely with the Parent Council to co-design this new role, which will support parents whose children have been admitted to inpatient care.
