Claire is a parent of three children, one of whom has SEND, and has been a trustee of Bristol Parent Carers since January 2022. As our longest-serving trustee, she brings continuity, care and a deep understanding of both family life and good governance.

With a professional background in accounting and tax management, Claire previously worked as a tax manager at a regional accountancy firm. She now works as a Finance Manager for another Bristol charity, South Bristol Youth. Her strong financial expertise and calm, thoughtful approach have played a key role in supporting the charity’s stability and growth.

Claire became a trustee because she wanted to support families who, like her own, have faced barriers and challenges when trying to access the right services for their children. Her lived experience, combined with her professional skills, helps ensure that Bristol Parent Carers remains sustainable, accountable and firmly rooted in the realities of family life.
