Welcome to Developing your pre-school and primary aged child’s language skills through every day conversations
Join Bristol Parent Carers and Anna Chimenti from All Join In Speech and Language Therapy at St Anne’s House in the Pulp room, on Thursday 26th February at 10AM
Our in person sessions are a great way to connect with other parent carers in a relaxed and welcoming space. We’ll have tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit available — so come along, have a cuppa, and take some time for you while getting helpful information and support.
In this session we will explore language development in pre-school and Primary school aged children.
In this session we will cover:
- Defining speech vs language vs social communication
- Identifying your child’s strength and where they may need support
- Basic principles of child-led language teaching
- Specific strategies parents can use at home wiith a focus on expanding vocabulary
- Q&As and much more!
Lunch and refreshments will be provided – please submit your dietary requirements using this form Please submit your questions no later than one week before the event to give the caterers time to prepare.
Places are free, but if you’re able to make a small donation to help us continue offering free sessions to as many families as possible, we’d be incredibly grateful.
*Please note, to attend this session for free you must live in Bristol (your bin will be collected by Bristol City Council), or your child must attend a school in the Bristol city area. You must also have a child with Special Educational Needs, but they do not need to have a diagnosis.
