I’m Liz Newton, Chair of Trustees for Bristol Parent Carers. I’m mum to two amazing girls, one of whom is visually impaired and neurodivergent.

I’m a maths tutor (having been a secondary maths teacher) and also a Chair of Governors at a local Primary School, along with several other volunteer roles.

To our board of trustees along with my own experience of our personal SEND journey, I bring education knowledge, charity compliance experience through previously volunteering as a PTA treasurer for 6 years, governance knowledge, and finance knowledge from previous jobs in finance.

I have a passion for ensuring parent carers are able to access and get the right support needed for their young people. Inclusion of all and community are at the heart of everything I do.
