Right To Choose

We know many of you are hitting a wall with ADHD and Autism assessment referrals right now. As we approach the end of the financial year, several national providers have paused new ‘Right to Choose’ applications until the ‘April Reset.’

It is incredibly frustrating to be told “not right now” when you’ve finally reached the point of asking for help. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the wait, please take a deep breath: you are doing a great job navigating a very tricky system. 💛

The good news? Support in school shouldn’t depend on a formal diagnosis. Your child is entitled to “Reasonable Adjustments” based on their needs, not a label. 💡

While we wait for April:
✨ Reach out to your school’s SENCo to review current support.
✨ Focus on the specific barriers your child is facing today.
✨ Explore adjustments like sensory breaks or visual aids.

This pause is a hurdle, not a stop sign. We’re right here with you in the waiting room. 🤝
