Together for SEND

16th March | We the Curious

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Together for SEND on Monday 16th March

Here are the key things you need to know for the day. We’ve kept this short so it is easy to check when you need it.

Coming on the day

You’re welcome to come along on the day even if you don’t have a ticket. You can register when you arrive, although talks will be subject to available space. If you’d like to speed up the check-in process, you can book a ticket in advance here: Book a ticket.

Before you arrive

The event brochure will help you get familiar with the venue, rooms and exhibitors.

It will be available on the day, so there is no need to print it.

View the brochure

There is yellow tape on the floor in the exhibitors area to help you find the To YouYou room - the lifts and stairs are at the back of the venu and the tape will guide you there.

Tickets

Please bring your entry ticket and, if you booked talks, your talk confirmation send via email. Digital or printed is fine.

Your ticket must be checked at the venue and before you enter each talk room.

If you cannot find your tickets, search your emails for “Your tickets from Bristol Parent Carers” for talks and “Ticket Tailor” for venue entry.

If you still cannot find them, we can reprint them on the day at the desk. There may be a short wait.

Your confirmation email shows the name and time of your talk.

If you did not pre-book talks, please go to the room shortly before the session starts and speak to the member of staff at the door. They will let you know if there is space.

Slides will be shared after the event.

Finding your room

The venue is large, so some rooms can be tricky to find.

Use the brochure map on the day, or check it in advance.

For the To Youyou Room, the lift and stairs are at the back of the venue. Follow the yellow line on the floor in the exhibitors area and look for signs.

If you get stuck, please ask a member of staff in a blue t-shirt.

Together for SEND 2026 returns to Bristol, bringing families, schools, and professionals together for a day of learning, connection, and inspiration.

This event tackles the real challenges faced by those supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities. Offering practical insights, strategies, and support to improve experiences across education, health, and community settings.

  • Join workshops, talks, and interactive sessions designed for families, school staff, and anyone supporting children with additional needs
  • Discover practical solutions, connect with local and local organisations, and leave empowered to make a difference for every child.

Some sessions are aimed specifically at school staff, some for families, and some are mixed. We understand that some topics are private or sensitive, and it can be difficult to discuss certain things in front of families or professionals. You can choose the sessions that work best for you.

What is available: click to read more

A full event brochure, including all talks and sessions, will be available from the start of February. This will help you plan your day in advance and decide which sessions feel most useful for you.

On the day, you’ll still have flexibility. If you change your mind or feel a different session would be more helpful, you’re welcome to switch. In previous years, although some talks have appeared “sold out” in advance, we’ve often had space on the day due to last-minute changes by families.

Alongside the talks, there will be around four hours of peer support, where you can drop in, ask questions, and get answers there and then from people who understand SEND.

Who it’s for: click to read more

Any family with worries about a child or young person aged 0–25 and wondering where to go for help.

Whether you’re right at the start and just beginning to ask questions, or you’re already knee-deep in appointments, plans and paperwork, you are very welcome here.

You don’t need to know the “right” words, and you don’t need to have everything figured out. We know exactly what it's like.

On the day, you’ll be able to speak directly with local services, charities and organisations, as well as peer supporters who have lived experience and understand what it’s really like. You can ask questions, get information, and talk things through - all in one place.
