Together for SEND brings families and education staff together for a full day of learning, practical guidance and shared understanding across SEND, led by people with professional expertise and lived experience.

For schools and education staff
Together for SEND is designed to support high-quality SEND practice across education settings.
The day offers:
- 30+ talks and workshops focused on real-world SEND challenges
- Practical sessions on reasonable adjustments, inclusion, transitions and wellbeing
- Opportunities to learn directly from families and practitioners
- Time to reflect, share practice and connect with colleagues across the city
The day provides learning that can be taken back into your setting, supporting reflective practice and ongoing SEND development.
For families
Tickets for families are free, and you’re welcome to attend in whatever way feels right for you. You’ll find:
- Clear, practical information you can trust
- Time to ask questions and talk things through
- Support from people with lived experience of SEND
- A space where families are listened to and valued
There will be an on-site café, or you’re welcome to bring a packed lunch. You can move around the day at your own pace and take breaks whenever you need.
On the day you’ll also find
- 50+ exhibitors, including local SEND services and support organisations
- Community and voluntary sector groups offering advice and resources
- Free sensory bags for those who need them
- Somali, Polish, Arabic and BSL interpreters available on site
- Bus fare refunds
