We had a really useful Friends of the Forum meeting this week with Bristol City Council, focusing on education and social care support for families.
🔹 We heard about the new Inclusive Learning Service, supporting mainstream schools to strengthen inclusive practice and Ordinarily Available Provision, including early intervention funding for whole-school support.
🔹 We discussed social care, including Family Hubs, SEND support from the Disabled Children’s Team, and how communication with families about waiting times can be clearer and more supportive.
🔹 We reviewed feedback on our BPC Social Care leaflet, focusing on making it clearer, more accessible, and realistic — so families feel confident and empowered to seek the right help at the right time.
