COO – Eleanor

Eleanor joined Bristol Parent Carers as Chief Operating Officer in July 2026, supporting the development and expansion of the charity’s work.

Eleanor has previously worked at a neighbouring Parent Carer Forum as Co-production and Participation Manager, focusing on strengthening parent carer voice, building constructive relationships with local partners, and championing system and service change.

For over a decade prior to this, Eleanor worked as an academic, specialising in research and teaching focused on marginalised children and families. She left this career when the neurodivergent needs of her children emerged and the demands of the role, the needs of her children and the challenges of navigating support became too difficult to balance. However, working in ethical, participatory ways with children and families through research projects aimed at bringing about social and policy change continues to shape the way she approaches all that she does at Bristol Parent Carers: with curiosity, evidence, collaboration, and a strong commitment to amplifying the voices of children, young people, and their families.
