Volunteer with Bristol Parent Carers – Information Session ⭐

September 8 @ 10:00 - 11:00
Free
A brief and informal chat to talk about the work we do, the role of our volunteers and how you can help!

Thinking about volunteering with Bristol Parent Carers?

Come along to this friendly information session to find out more about who we are, what we do, and how you could get involved. Volunteering is flexible and can be tailored around your family, interests and availability. It’s a great opportunity to:

  • Meet other parent carers who understand your experiences.
  • Make a real difference to services for families across Bristol.
  • Share your experiences to help shape support for other families.
  • Develop new skills and build your confidence.
  • Gain training, experience and references that can support future employment or further volunteering.
  • Build experience in areas such as peer support, events, engagement, administration, communications and co-production.
  • Volunteer in a way that works for you – whether that’s a few hours occasionally or something more regular.

We’ll also cover:

  • Who Bristol Parent Carers works with.
  • The different volunteer roles available.
  • The time commitment involved (we’re flexible!).

To volunteer with us, you must be a parent or carer of a child or young person aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), and either live in Bristol or have a child who accesses Bristol services (for example, attends a Bristol school).
