Join our community

At a glance
This page explains how to join the Bristol Parent Carers community so you can receive information, updates and opportunities that may help you and your family.

We want to stay in touch with our parent carer community in Bristol, and with the people who work alongside families to support children and young people with SEND.

You can sign up to our mailing list for free to receive emails from us, including:

  • Weekly emails with information about our free information sessions on a range of SEND topics

  • Monthly newsletters: one for families and one for school staff

  • Important updates shared when something changes or needs your attention

  • Information about our surveys and termly topic work and ways to share your views on local SEND services

Who can join?

You can join our mailing list if you are:

  • A parent carer – a parent or carer with extra caring responsibilities because your child or young person (aged 0–25) has a disability or additional need, and lives in Bristol or attends a Bristol school. No diagnosis is needed to join.

You can also join if you are:

  • A professional or practitioner working with parent carers or their children, including people working in education, health, social care, voluntary and community groups, service providers, or the local authority

Joining is free, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

A quick note about emails

To help make sure our emails don’t go into your junk or spam folder, please add info@bristolparentcarers.org.uk to your address book.

If you’ve emailed us and are waiting for a reply, it’s also worth checking your junk or spam folder in case our response has landed there.

About the information we ask for

In the sign-up form below, we ask for a small amount of information about your child or young person’s additional needs and their educational setting. This helps us understand families’ experiences across Bristol, connect with families in different areas, and make sure our work reaches and supports a wide range of families.

We only use this information for this purpose, and we never share your personal data.

The form loads below. If you’d rather, you can open it in a new tab .

Get Involved

Every family’s journey is different, and there’s no single way to be involved with Bristol Parent Carers. You might be here because you need support, because you want to share what life is really like for your family, or because you want to help improve services for parent carers across Bristol.

However you choose to take part, your experiences matter. You can explore these options by clicking the buttons below.
