Together, we supported 1,120 parent carers through 253 peer support sessions, 40 practitioner-led guidance sessions and our annual conference. Importantly, 90% of parents told us they felt more confident after attending a peer support session, demonstrating the value of connection, shared experience and practical support.
This year also saw the launch of our Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner service, providing families with practical, evidence-based support to help them navigate emotional and behavioural challenges.
Our Local Area Survey brought together the experiences of 200 parent carers, helping us understand the issues that matter most to families, from EHCPs and health services to inclusion, transitions and parent carer wellbeing. These experiences are helping to shape the local SEND Development Plan and inform our ongoing work with strategic partners.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, over the coming year, we can reach more families, strengthen the parent carer voice and continue building a more connected and inclusive SEND community across Bristol.
