10th August - We have just uploaded our new links directory with web-links to local and national organisations we feel may be of interest to you
Daycare Trust has developed new online volunteering resources <http://www.daycaretrust.org.uk/pages/volunteering.html> aimed at childcare and early years providers. The resources guide you through different approaches to involving parents and developing structured volunteer programmes. There are case studies as examples of good practice and suggestions of resources to use, with examples and links to further resources.
The information is based on recommendations and research from Daycare Trust's report, Better Serving our Children
This report forms the basis of a national action plan to increase sustainable volunteering opportunities in the early years and childcare sector.

ADASS CARERS E-BULLETIN NO: 2 MAY/JUNE 2012
Thanks to all contributors. Feedback on the bulletin would be welcome. The Carers E-Bulletin, of course, is one part of the process of information and knowledge exchange. There are requests for information as well as information sharing. The meeting of the network last week showed how responding to both can be really helpful to all of us. When there are so many time demands your support by membership of the network is very much appreciated. The next bulletin is planned for the end of September. Requests for materials will go out about three to four weeks before. The network circulation list has been updated, but if there are further changes please do let me know.
