Hearing the child’s voice at the heart of SEMH intervention | Hamish and Milo
For all: SOLD OUT
SEMH =social, emotional and mental health
With children’s mental health at a critical level, hearing the child’s voice and their experience of the world is vital for them to feel safe and able to develop the essential social and emotional skills for life and learning.
How do we then create the right environment, ensure relational practice, and a culture and approach that gives children opportunity to express their experiences and feelings whilst actively gaining the skills they need to navigate the world around them?
The session will highlight how to:
- Prioritise social and emotional literacy to increase emotional regulation and engagement in learning
- Unlock the child’s voice with specific strategies
- Create the right environment and approach to ensure the child’s voice is heard
- Measure impact, identify patterns and plan for provision and intervention
