Update on activities

All Short Break providers are identifying vulnerable families and referring them to the Inclusion Service (with families’ permission) as well as keeping in regular phone contact with families of CYP who attend their service.

Out and About Consortium: they have sent out 80 activity packs and WECIL are hosting a live session via the ‘Out and About’ Facebook page every Friday at 11am. Last Friday was a challenge around making scrambled egg on toast.

National Autistic Society are also running their ‘Out of School’ sessions online. WECIL have trialed Zoom sessions for families in BANES (younger age range 4-12) and will look at adopting this in Bristol. More craft packs will be sent to families soon.

FACE are running daily activities for BAP families via SeeSaw website over the Easter Holidays (Bake Off, competitions etc). Each family will be sent a log-in.

Action for Children have an Emergency Relief Fund; they are working with DCS to allocate this.

The Bristol Local Offer short breaks page is kept up to date with all of this below.
