Alternative Learning Provision consultation

Bristol City Council has published its draft strategy for commissioning Alternative Learning Provision (ALP), and is looking for feedback from a wide range of people, including:

  • Children and young people, both in ALP and in mainstream school
  • Parents/Carers
  • Providers of ALP
  • Schools

Background to the consultation
The draft strategy builds on engagement with these groups over the past year. It focuses on the entire educational journey of young people in ALP, across four stages:

  • Support in mainstream school
  • Moving into ALP
  • Thriving achieving & belonging in ALP
  • Leaving ALP

Any feedback from this consultation will inform the final version of the commissioning strategy.

What are we asking people to do?
