Positive behaviour support
The British Institute of Learning Disability (BILD) has been running a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) programme for a few years. BILD has received funding to be able to offer a telephone support service provided by their Positive Behaviour Support consultants (England Only).

Bristol Autism Support update
Bristol Autism Support (BAS) turned 8 last month, formally became a registered charity last November and became a membership organisation in February. BAS is currently developing a mailing of wellbeing packs for their members which include some pampering treats and information about mental health support and relaxation activities.
We have previously shared information about those exempt from wearing face coverings on public transport etc. Please see our previous post for further information about exemptions or the Government Guidance (section 5 covers exemptions).
As of Monday 15th June 2020, everyone must wear a face covering when on public transport if they can, but importantly there are exemptions for those who need it.
Each week, the Council for Disabled Children (CDC) is posting a new set of FAQs from parent carers and professionals in response to questions they have been receiving relating to SEND issues experienced nationally during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Department for Education (DfE) is consulting on a revised version of the statutory School Admissions Code.

Temporary changes to SEND law
On 29th June 2020, the Secretary of State issued a notice to extend the temporary changes to the law on what provision has to be made currently for those with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.
