Temporary changes to SEND law
On 29th June 2020, the Secretary of State issued a notice to extend the temporary changes to the law on what provision has to be made currently for those with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.
This new leaflet from the Bristol City Council outlines lots of different services and resources that families can currently access in Bristol.
In April 2018, the Department for Education began a national trial to extend the powers of the SEND Tribunal to hear appeals, and make non-binding decisions about, health and social care aspects of Education, Health and Care plans. The Trial was due to end on 31st August 2020.

National Volunteer Week
It is National Volunteer Week from 1st June to 7th June.
Linked to the information above, the Prime Minister has set out a recovery strategy to begin bringing the country out of the lockdown measures that were imposed to help protect us all from the Coronavirus.
